It never rains, but it pours...

Here's the conversation I just had in the hallway, coming back from lunch:

Teacher: Hey, Brian!

Me: Yeah?

Teacher: You got a girlfriend?

Me: Uh-oh, here we go...

Teacher: What?

Me: Oh, nothing. Why do you ask?

Teacher: Were you here at the breakfast yesterday?

Me: No, I was at my other school. (Editor's note: I have offices in two different buildings.)

Teacher: Then you didn't see Mr. ________'s daughter?

Me: No.

Teacher: She's single...

Me: You don't say!

Teacher: Here, he's not in his office right now. Let's go look at her picture!

Me: You know, you're the third person this week that's tried to fix me up...

I saw the picture, and she's pretty damn gorgeous. Plays violin or something like that, lives downtown. Brown hair.

What kind of strange powers am I giving off right now? I seem to be transforming everyone I know into "Fiddler on the Roof"-style Matchmakers.

It all starts next week. I'll try to keep everyone informed without actually giving away any details. Because that could be bad.

Have a lovely weekend...
