All children, except one, grow up.
That was Peter Pan.
Today I'm 33 years old. I joke around that it's my "coming of age" in Hobbit years, but there's a greater truth there. I've known for a while now that I have avoided many aspects of "growing up," relishing the strange freedom I have to do whatever I want whenever I want with whomever I please.
But I know that I am older now, and that slowly but surely I am casting away many of the immature aspects of my life.
2005 may be a bit different for me, but I look forward to the change and the challenge.
I may have to step away from some of you Lost Boys and Lost Girls I surround myself with, but these are things that have to happen. I've known that for a while now. Recent events have only strengthened this knowledge.
Don't worry, I'll still be here. For now. But who knows what time and tide, stock and stone, shall bring?
To live is an awfully big adventure, isn't it?
