The weather report says that tomorrow's high will be 13°, the low -13° . Sounds like a perfect day to cancel school.
(That's -25° and -11°, respectively, in Celsius, for my overseas friends.)
It's 3° right now, (-16° C). Winds are 12 mph and rising. Today when we loaded the kids up on the buses I looked out across the road into an open field, the sun partially obscured by the blowing snow, and it looked like one of Annie's pictures from Iceland.
This is the coldest weather we've had in a decade, the TV tells me. Surprisingly, I don't mind it at all. I like it when the weather gets rough. Wakes us up a bit.
It's going to be 45° in Dublin, though, and I'd rather be there. Two more months...
