
Sometimes the Big Dog bites hard, and sometimes the Little Dog bites where it counts.
So long, New York. No more baseball for you this year.
A bunch of scruffy guys from the greatest town in America (excluding Chicago, of course) just showed me what faith is all about.
No, not faith in God. No matter what any of the players say in interviews after the game, faith in God didn't produce four wins in a row against the Yankees. I don't really believe that God cares about such things.
Faith in each other won those games. Faith and the belief that these guys could pull out win after win when it seemed that all hope was lost, that they would lose yet again.
Sure, it isn't as sweet as if the Cubs were doing all of this, but that is a dream deferred for another day.
Until then, Go Red Sox. I believe in you guys.
